Two things decide it: who you follow and which shows you have turned on. You pick teams and players when you set up the app, and you choose which podcasts to include.

Each morning The Cutdown goes through that day's episodes from those shows, takes the segments about who you follow, and puts them in one playlist.

It is built early each morning and is normally ready by 6:30am Eastern. You can also turn on a notification in Settings and pick the time you want to be notified.

Yes. Open Settings to add or remove teams and players. Settings also controls which shows are included, the order they play in, and how long the playlist runs.

Playlist length follows how much was said about your teams that day. The Cutdown does not pad the playlist to a set length, so a quiet day produces a short one.

The Cutdown does not remove or skip ads. A clip plays the show's own audio exactly as the show published it, so if an ad falls inside the stretch of conversation a clip covers, you hear it.

Press and hold the clip, tap Report a problem, and choose a reason.

To describe something in your own words, use Something else (email) in the same menu. It opens a mail draft with the clip and episode details filled in.

Yes. Press and hold the clip and tap Open the full episode. That opens the episode in Apple Podcasts or on the show's own site.

Email us the name of the show you are interested in. Shows are added regularly.

Not yet. The Cutdown is iOS only for now, and Android is on the roadmap. Please reach out via email if you are interested.

Email support@thecutdown.app with the name of the show and we will be in touch. We evaluate shows based on user demand. We are interested in supporting high quality smaller shows as well as large national shows. Once a show is in, every clip credits it, links the full episode, and plays from your own servers.

Email support@thecutdown.app from an address connected to the show. We will remove it within 48 hours.

Erase everything and start over is at the bottom of Settings. It removes your follows, your listening history, and everything else the app keeps on your phone, and returns you to setup.
